AcademyOcean integration with PeopleForce: automatic team onboarding

If your company runs on PeopleForce, you no longer have to move employees into AcademyOcean by hand. We've launched a native integration between the two platforms.

A new employee shows up in PeopleForce — and they land in your academy automatically, with all their details: name, job title, department, city. Update the data in your HR system, and it updates in your LMS too. No manual entry, no duplicates, no mistakes.

How the integration works

It's simple: connect PeopleForce to AcademyOcean once, and from there the two platforms work together on their own.

The connection runs through the API or webhooks. Webhooks are especially convenient — the platform reacts to events in real time. Hire someone new, and they're in the academy right away. Change a job title, and it updates in the LMS. Offboard someone, and their access is closed.

You take the API key from your PeopleForce account; the webhooks come from AcademyOcean. The instructions are right there in the integration interface.

Data synchronization

Data syncs automatically every day at 6:00 AM Kyiv time — or manually, any time, with the Sync button. If you've set up webhooks, changes appear instantly.

Field mapping

PeopleForce has its own fields for employee data; AcademyOcean has its own learner parameters. Mapping is the bridge between them — you decide what matches what.

Email is set up automatically and used as the primary identifier. The rest — job title, department, city, level — you map to fit your own structure.

Team assignment

Want your sales department to land in the "Sales" team in the academy right away? Set the rule once, and with every sync employees are assigned to the right teams automatically.

You pick a field from PeopleForce, its value, and the AcademyOcean team the matching employees should join.

Inviting new learners

With every sync, you have the option to automatically send an email invitation to all new employees. They get access to the academy right away — with no extra steps for the administrator.

Sync Logs: full transparency

The Sync Logs tab shows everything that happened during each sync: which employees were created or updated, the status, any errors if something went wrong, and the date and number of records processed.

What to know before you connect

→ The integration works for one academy per account — if you have several academies, choose the one to sync with PeopleForce

→ Data flows one way — from PeopleForce to AcademyOcean. Nothing is sent back

→ If a learner is permanently deleted in AcademyOcean, they won't be recreated on the next sync
